Outdoor activity combined with some philosophical encounters with others interested in philosophy and science is probably the best way to see the Cilento. With enviable natural, historical and intellectual heritages (the start of western philosophy no less), the Cilento is somewhat unique and should be experienced through a blend of the bodily and the mental.

Accommodation during the visits
Amalfi
Amalfi trekkers usually stay at one or more of the lovely hotels which we have selected along the routes.
Cilento
For the Cilento treks, we have a selection of gorgeous agriturismo (high standard, family run mini-farms), most with their own natural food products, wines and Cilentan cuisine.

A week (7 nights) at the parmenideum comprises a mix of 2 or 3 days of outdoors activities (sleceted from those below) and 2 days of philosophical talks, debates and presentations. The strength of the encounters is that each person has a chance to engage and contribute in all aspects of the activities, especially the philosophical discussion. (Got an idea about philosophy? Then share it with everyone else!)
